The Neighborhood

Chestnut Creek is a beautiful single-family home neighborhood nestled in the heart of East Cobb County in Marietta, Georgia.  Our neighborhood was established in 1980 and is comprised of about 170 traditional homes on spacious wooded lots.

Chestnut Creek residents enjoy the convenient proximity to local shopping and restaurants while still maintaining the "quiet life" off Davis Road.  Our neighborhood boasts wonderful amenities for our HOA members, including a beautiful swimming pool with a sun deck, playground and a gazebo/picnic area.  We also have two community tennis courts.

Chestnut Creek has an active and friendly Homeowners' Association, Social Committee, and Women's Club.  We also have men's and women's ALTA tennis team and our neighborhood swim team, the Chestnut Creek Crocodiles!

Chestnut Creek is located within the award winning East Cobb County School District.  Students in Chestnut Creek attend the following Cobb County Public Schools:

Mountain View Elementary (newly built in 2018)

Pope High School

Does the Chestnut Creek Homeowners' Association have any covenants or restrictions?

The Chestnut Creek HOA does not currently have any covenants or restrictions.  

Are there any restrictions or guidelines for building storage/garden sheds in Chestnut Creek?

Chestnut Creek does not have any covenants regarding buildings on your property, so the default is to follow the Cobb County codes and ordinances.  You can find out more on the Cobb County Community Development website.  Aside from that, you may want to discuss your plans with the neighbors that adjoin your property so that it does not create any negative tension down the road.

What is Chestnut Creek's policy on door-to-door solicitation?

While Chestnut Creek does not have a specific policy for or against door-to-door solicitors, the Cobb County Police Department offers information on how individuals and neighborhood associations can deal with solicitors.
